Houndstooth has always been one of my favorite patterns—black and white, symmetrical, and effortlessly elegant. While its palette may seem easy to style, stepping beyond the classic black-and-white pairing can be surprisingly challenging. Stardoll has released only a few pieces in this print, making it even more special to work with. For these looks, I chose to highlight the pattern with bold, unexpected colors instead of the usual neutrals.
For the first outfit, I’m wearing a striking short coat inspired by the 1960s. Its wide, flared cut is a challenge on its own, so pairing it with equally wide trousers creates a balanced silhouette. The trendy white shoes keep the look fresh, while the green bag adds a vibrant contrast.
For the second outfit, I styled an asymmetrical skirt with a soft baby-blue jacket, grounding the look with a crisp white shirt for a more formal finish. Floral shoes echo the blue tones and introduce a playful mix of patterns. I completed the look with a houndstooth beret to tie everything together.
For the third outfit, I’m wearing a lovely houndstooth dress layered with a mustard coat draped over the shoulders, finished with black boots and yellow accessories. The coat elevates the entire look, allowing both pieces to share the spotlight.
