Budget vs Vision #1

This year feels like the perfect moment to embrace new ideas and push my creativity further. That’s why I’ll be introducing fresh concepts to the blog, using my imagination and love for styling as the foundation. For this post, I’m exploring how a single piece can be styled in two different ways: one using random items from my own wardrobe, and the other built with more affordable pieces that will be accessible when available.

For this first entry, I chose this velvet dress from Basics. Its formal cut and military-green tone make it a timeless piece—versatile enough to work across seasons. For both outfits, I stayed within an earthy color palette, one lighter and one deeper.

For the first outfit, I styled the dress with a striking rib-inspired cape draped over the shoulders, paired with dark brown boots and a structured leather bag for a bold, elevated finish.

For the second look, I softened the dress by layering a cream blouse underneath, adding lighter-toned boots and a coordinating bag for a more approachable, everyday feel.

Both outfits open the door to endless possibilities, proving just how versatile this type of dress can truly be.
